MOCA Systems will debut Precision Time Planning for its Touchplan platform, introducing minute-level scheduling and built-in shift management to improve field planning and crew coordination. The capability lets teams plan and sequence tasks from weeks down to minutes, support short-duration and repetitive activities, and reassign crews within a day without sacrificing higher-level views. A public demonstration will be held at the NECA Show in Chicago ahead of a rolling commercial release to all Touchplan customers in the first quarter of next year. The feature aims to reduce bottlenecks, improve sequencing accuracy, and streamline collaboration between office and field teams.
MOCA Systems, Inc. will debut a new scheduling capability for its Touchplan construction planning platform at the National Electrical Contractors Association trade event in Chicago. The feature, called Precision Time Planning, brings planning and coordination down to minute-level intervals and adds native shift and crew management. The company plans wide availability for all customers in the first quarter of 2026.
The feature is a capability inside the Touchplan platform from MOCA Systems. It will be shown for the first time at the NECA Show running September 12–15, 2025, at McCormick Place in Chicago, at Booth #1615. The firm says the release will roll out to all Touchplan customers in Q1 2026.
Precision Time Planning enables contractors to plan, sequence, and coordinate work using time slices that range from weeks and days down to hours and minutes. The capability adds tools to organize shift work and manage crews and headcounts across shifts. It also provides a way to sequence short-duration or repetitive tasks with greater specificity and to switch seamlessly between higher-level daily overviews and minute-level detail.
Project teams face volatility and tight timing on complex builds. Tools that let planners and field teams break tasks into short, ordered segments can reduce guesswork and surface bottlenecks earlier. The new capability is positioned to give owners, general contractors, and specialty contractors clearer, real-time insight into progress and potential delays so that problems can be mitigated before they drive cost or schedule slippage.
The functionality is built as part of the cloud-based Touchplan platform, which uses a collaborative foundation based on the Last Planner System®. The company describes the feature as combining precise control with a dynamic, easy-to-use interface so that people from executives to field crews can access the same plan and level of detail appropriate to their role.
Early customer feedback conveyed that the ability to schedule portions of a day and then reassign crews to other tasks improves planning flexibility and confidence in keeping projects moving. The platform is reported to be used by many large contractors and specialty firms, and the provider highlights adoption among top general contractors and leading MEP and specialty contractors.
Precision Time Planning will be made available to all Touchplan customers in the first quarter of 2026. Attendees at the NECA Show can see a demonstration at Booth #1615 during the September event in Chicago.
