One notable project is the construction of a new hangar for the Edward Babka Aviation Learning Center, which has been granted the largest permit so far in 2025 at $9.92 million. This new 43,000-square-foot facility is designed to accommodate a growing number of aviation students, particularly amid a national pilot shortage, with the university’s student population nearly doubling since 2022.
